HR Strategy

There is overwhelming evidence that having an effective HR Strategy can improve business performance. As a result there has been a noticeable increase in the number of organisations developing HR strategies, yet many continue to struggle putting one together which is effective and energising.

This one day intensive event provides simple steps to design and implement an effective HR strategy

Cultural Vision and Values Alignment

This workshop is highly interactive and is designed to obtain a good grasp of the potential of the culture of an organisation in order to integrate the vision and pull together threads of knowledge and perceptions from diverse areas. Delegates will identify what they believe are the corporate values, individual values and identify whether these are aligned. We will also ask them to look at what the values mean within the working environment, what works well and what elements could be improved upon to in order to add “Business Value”. We focus on what is happening, what is missing and what is required next.

Change Management

This will be an interactive one day event where delegates will be looking at the reasons and theories behind change, utilising effective business models to understand and aid delivery of change management. There will also be practical exercises where they will be assimilating practical skills (role plays) to be able to understand and manage change more effectively in the workplace.

Discovering Competency Frameworks

Competency Frameworks are a widely recognised tool within organisations and are used to in the effective recruitment and management of staff. This course helps managers understand Competency Frameworks and how they can be effectively used to manage their people. The course provides managers with best practice techniques on how to use Competency Models to profile members of staff and enhance Development Reviews, Appraisals and Performance Management and Succession Planning.

The delegates will learn how to carry out an effective review using Competencies and identify individual role profiles to identify and effectively develop their employees.

Disciplinary and Grievance in practice

This workshop is for team leaders who are required as part of their job description to carry out effective Disciplinary Investigations, Meetings or Appeal Meetings. The purpose of this module is to provide the team leader with the necessary skills and understanding of key legislation and the need to follow defined procedures. It also will enable them to learn effective best practice techniques with regard to carrying out an effective Disciplinary or Grievance Meeting, understand and explain the role of discipline and grievance in improving performance levels

Employment Law (includes discrimination)

The aim of this highly interactive course is to provide the participants with the skills and the confidence to effectively recruit, retain and develop staff whilst ensuring compliance with UK Employment Legislation.

This course will provide the participants with the abilities to transfer the key learning points to their own working environment whilst providing their clients with quality staff whilst adhering to current employment legislation and practices.

Respect at Work

This course looks at how we value and respect ourselves and others in order to maximize potential and improve communication and performance outcomes. Staff need to create an environment of mutual respect whilst raising standards.

Delegates will understand how to improve relationships within the workplace through positive communication and identify best practice policies around professional behaviour to be able to actively deal with tricky situations.
